Volunteers, we need your help!MS Events & Precision Race organize several events each year to raise money for the National MS Society. We currently need volunteers for the Raleigh Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning (Thursday, November 23rd).
Get an Early Start on your 2023 Bike MS or Walk MS Fundraising:Participants in Bike MS or Walk MS events will receive fundraising credit toward these events. Precision Race/MS Events will make a donation to the National MS Society in your name. Be sure to indicate which event you are fundraising for when you sign up.
About This Year's Event:Raleigh Turkey Trot takes place at Ridgewood Center at Wade Ave and Ridge Rd in Raleigh. The race starts at 8:30 AM with a Kids' Dash toward the end of the race.
Volunteer Roles:There are limited volunteer opportunities so please sign up early if you want to help out and earn fundraising credit for Bike MS or Walk MS.
Thanksgiving morning volunteer roles start at 6:45 AM. The race is over around 9:45 AM. We need volunteers for the following roles for these races:
- Advanced Check-In (Saturday, Nov 18th and Sunday Nov 19th 11:30 AM - 4 PM at Ridgewood Shopping Center): Assist runners with race check-in; hand out race shirts.
- Race Day Check-In: (6:45 - 8:30 AM) Assist runners with race morning check-in; hand out race shirts
- Water station: (8:00 - 9:45 AM) Fill water cups and hand them to runners.
- Course Monitor: (6:45 - 9:45 AM or when last runner passes) Positioned at a specific intersections on the race course, ensure that runners go in the correct direction and cars to not enter course. Safety vests are provided and must be worn. This position receives the highest fundraising credit.
- Finish Line Food/Drink: (8:00 - 9:45 AM) Resupply water bottles and individually wrapped food items in post-race area.
